Sponsored by Liberty Mutual and hosted by Signal Restoration’s Co-CEO, Frank Torre, the 2022 Boys Hope Girls Hope Golf Tournament recently held in Franklin, Michigan brought tremendous support to the organization.
Signal was proud to support this annual event at the prestigious Franklin Hills Country Club on August 15th. Designed by Donald Ross, The Franklin Hills Country Club offered notable business and philanthropic leaders an opportunity to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of underprivileged youth residing in Metro Detroit.
Mark Davis, Co-CEO of Signal Restoration Services, also attended the outing and has supported Frank in this endeavor for many years. The fundraising event was also attended by PuroClean’s President and COO, Steve White along with key members of the PuroClean and Signal leadership team. Signal staff was also on hand to provide support for the event.
Boys Hope Girls Hope of Detroit is an academic scholarship program whose mission is to help academically motivated middle and high school students rise above disadvantaged backgrounds and become successful in college and beyond. The organization provides programs that help students meet their full potential by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities, and education through college.
The Annual Golf Outing exceeded its goal and raised $375,000 in support of the academic scholarship program and has to date provided nearly $7 million to directly help academically motivated students rise above disadvantaged backgrounds and become successful in college and beyond. Golfers, volunteers, and sponsors were treated to a dinner reception and live auction emceed by Paul W. Smith, a legendary Detroit radio icon and not able columnist who introduced the 2022 Hope Scholars. “These scholars, through the Frank Torre Scholarship Fund, are the leaders who have persevered through adversity and are reaching toward a promising future.”
Boys Hope Girls Hope Executive Director, Rebecca Limbaugh, was quoted as saying, “I am in awe of his leadership and his energy, and the event is always beautifully managed by Frank Torre. The outing has raised millions of dollars for the Hope scholars. We are so grateful to Frank.”
