LOSS EVENT: HURRICANE LAURA DAMAGE
Luxury Casino Resort
Louisiana
Hurricane Laura was a deadly and destructive Category 4 hurricane that is tied with the 1856 Last Island hurricane as the strongest hurricane on record to make landfall in the U.S. state of Louisiana, as measured by maximum sustained winds.
The Hotel was a 490 room complex that had multiple structures affected by Hurricane Laura. Severe roofing damage was sustained and thus, water penetrated through the roof into multipole structures. Signal responded immediately and began restoration within 48 hours.
Once on-site, Signal stabilized all environments with both temporary power and environmental stabilization controls throughout both hotel structures and common areas including restaurants and casinos. Once the site was secured, Signal performed selective demolition, clean-up and reconstruction of the property.
